OUR BEGINNING
At Kelly's Studio of Dance, we believe that it is about more than just dance. ​

In 2011, after years of experience in the dance industry, Kelly [name] decided to create a place where anyone could find joy in movement. With a passion for dance and a love for her community, she opened Kelly's Studio of Dance in a small, single studio in Athens, Alabama. ​​​
​Although the space was small, Kelly's vision was big. She wanted the studio to be a safe place for self-expression, where students could grow in both skill and confidence. ​
​KSD quickly became an important part of the community. Within just 2 years, Kelly expanded into a larger space, adding multiple studios and equipment to ensure the success of all her dancers.
What started as a prayer became a thriving, inclusive dance family centered around the belief that it will always be about more than just dance.

Kelly Jobe
Kelly has been passionate about dance since she was a young girl. She founded Kelly's Studio of Dance in 2011 with the vision of creating a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment for dancers of all ages and levels. Through her faith in God and her love for dance, Kelly's vision became reality.
Teachers
Claire Allen
Dance Instructor
Ms. Claire has many years of dance experience. Before teaching, she trained at KSD and was a member of our award-winning competition team, traveling and learning from some of the best in the industry.
Megan Davis
Dance Instructor & Company Director
Ms. Megan grew up dancing in Huntsville, AL. Continuing her passion for dance, Ms. Megan joined our team and teaches a variety of classes. Alongside regular classes, Ms. Megan is the KSD Company Director and leads our award winning competition team.
Bailey Geiger
Company Team Coach
Ms. Bailey has been an integral part of our team for many years. Whether she is coaching our competition team, teaching our young dancers, or assisting in other studio work, she always makes time to encourage our dancers and uplift our team.
Ashley Harris
Dance Instructor
Ms. Ashley has been part of the dance world for many years and primarily teaches 2-6 year-old classes. She is not only a teacher, but is also a proud KSD dance mom, making her the perfect fit for teaching all of our tiny dancers.
Julia Kennair
Dance Instructor & Company Team Coach
Ms. Julia has danced with us for many years and was part of our award-winning competition team. Now, she teaches a variety of dance styles and ages and helps coach our competition team throughout the season.
Heather Patterson
Dance Instructor & Tumbling Coach
Ms. Heather is an experienced acrobatics and tumbling instructor. She is dedicated to helping students of all levels build strength, technique, and confidence while mastering tumbling and acrobatic skills.
Shelby Sawyer
Dance Instructor
Ms. Shelby is a technical expert in the dance field. With a focus on Ballet, Tap, and Pointe, she teaches our dancers the foundational knowledge crucial to success in the dance world.
Sophia Yakel
Dance Instructor
Ms. Sophia has been a teacher alongside our owner/director, Ms. Kelly, for many years. She has choreographed many winning dances for our competition team and teaches classes weekly. With a focus on Jazz Funk, Tap, and Hip-Hop, Ms. Sophia gets all of our dancers grooving.
